How we work
How we work, and what it costs
It’s the question everyone wants to ask and almost nobody does. We think being open about money is the first sign a designer will be honest with you about everything else, so here’s exactly how we charge, and what shapes the investment.
Two ways to work with us
Online design
From £220
Built for a single room or a smaller project. You get full design direction, floor plans, material selections and sourcing, and from there you handle the ordering and installation on your own timeline. Expert guidance, one space at a time.
Full-service design
Quoted individually
Our complete, hands-on service, designed and managed from concept to completion. Because no two homes or briefs are the same, we quote each project individually after a free consultation, so you have a clear proposal before anything begins.

What shapes the investment
Why every project is quoted on its own terms.
There’s no fixed price for a home, because no two are the same. A handful of things shape what a project costs, and being clear about them from the start is how we keep budgets honest.
How much is bespoke
The single biggest driver. A scheme built around made-to-measure joinery, a hand-made kitchen and natural materials costs more than one assembled from off-the-shelf pieces, and it's usually where the real value sits.
The scope of the work
One considered room or a whole-house renovation, and whether there's structural or building work involved alongside the design.
The level of finish
Natural stone, bespoke metalwork and specialist decorative finishes all carry a premium, because they take more time, skill and care to design and deliver.
The management
Whether you'd like us to coordinate the trades and makers and run the project end to end, or simply provide the design for you to deliver yourself.
A common misconception
A good designer often saves you more than the fee.
The most common worry we hear is that hiring a designer simply adds cost. In practice, the opposite is usually true. Changes made on a drawing cost nothing; changes made on a building site cost thousands.
We plan properly from the start, know where to invest and where to save, and have access to trade suppliers and craftsmen you wouldn’t find on your own. Applied across a whole project, that knowledge very often saves more than the design fee itself, while giving you a home that’s genuinely better resolved.
How we keep it transparent
Open about budget, from the very first conversation.
It starts with a free, no-obligation consultation, a friendly conversation about your home, your project and what you’re hoping to achieve. From there, you’ll receive a clear proposal, so you know exactly what you’re committing to before any work begins.
Our honest advice is always the same: start with a figure you’re genuinely comfortable with, and share it openly. A good designer will tell you, kindly and clearly, what’s realistic and where to focus it for the biggest impact.
