Bank Medi Spa

A calm, polished clinic in Hale, designed to reassure from the moment you walk in.

A clinic that feels less like a clinic, and more like a luxury stay.

When Bank Medi Spa first came to me, they didn’t just want a refresh. They wanted a clinic that felt calm and genuinely special the moment you walked in, but that could still stand up to a busy day of treatments. That balance is exactly the kind of brief I love.

In the client’s words

★★★★★

“They have completely transformed and modernised both our reception area and treatment rooms to a luxury standard. The attention to detail and commitment to a high quality finish went beyond what we could have delivered without their experience.”

The brief

We were working in a lovely old period building, which I always enjoy, but it came with a real puzzle. A clinic like this needs hard-wearing, hygienic surfaces and a layout that flows easily from reception to retail to the treatment rooms, and none of it can feel cold or clinical. So a lot of what you see here, the curved reception and that backlit wave wall especially, we designed from scratch and had made by hand.

Before & after

From a plain white desk to a sculptural, backlit centrepiece.

The reception they had was perfectly fine, and completely forgettable. I wanted the first thing you saw to actually stop you for a moment, so we built a curved desk by hand and set a softly backlit wall behind it. It’s become the heart of the whole space.

Behind the scenes

Made bespoke, start to finish.

This was never going to be a flat-pack job. We took the space right back to a shell and built it up again, the curved reception, the wave wall, the shelving, the treatment rooms, nearly all of it made by hand. I’m a bit obsessive about the details, so I stayed close to every trade to keep the finish exactly where I wanted it.

The reception desk

The curved desk is probably my favourite part. It was built off-site, then fitted and finished by hand here, with the lighting tucked in behind so it gives you a warm welcome before anyone’s even said hello.

The signature feature wall

We templated and cut the wave wall by hand, right there on site, then wrapped it in a soft, warm finish. It’s the thing everyone remembers, and you really won’t find it anywhere else.

Bespoke retail shelving

I didn’t want the retail to feel like an afterthought, so we had this tiered display made to order. It shows the products off beautifully and feels much more boutique than shop shelf.

The treatment rooms

Every treatment room was stripped right back and rebuilt from scratch. They had to be practical and spotless, of course, but I also wanted them warm and softly lit, so clients feel completely relaxed the moment they lie down.

Our approach

I always start with a feeling. Here, I wanted clients to feel calm, looked after and quietly impressed from the second they arrived, and every decision grew from that. Soft, flattering lighting. A gentle palette of warm neutrals and stone. And beautiful materials that can take the wear of a busy clinic and still look lovely years from now.

A welcoming first impression

The reception sets the tone for everything, softly lit, considered and unmistakably premium. Exactly the welcome I wanted to give.

Boutique-style retail

A little moment of retail therapy. The custom shelving makes browsing feel like part of the experience, never an afterthought.

Calm treatment rooms

And here are the finished rooms, calm, private and warm, with all the clinical practicality you’d want and none of the cold, clinical feeling.
